The exhibition is organised and produced by the Romanian Chamber of Architects - Timiș Branch in the framework of the project Art Encounters, Timișoara. In cooperation with: The Art Encounters Foundation, the Triade Foundation, Jecza Gallery and the Museum of Art Timișoara.

Around 1960, Timisoara became one of the most dynamic centers of Romanian contemporary arts, mostly due to several young artists settling in the city; artists enlivened by the desire to change its cultural focus by promoting new visual concepts.

The uniqueness of the artistic practices promoted within the Sigma1 group relies on a transgression of the linear approach of the aesthetic phenomenon. The approach is realized through “bionic" research: the interaction between different artistic media and social scientific disciplines.
